1. You’ll need an AWS account. You can create one beforehand, or during the setup process. You’ll need to provide payment details.

  2. In the Salt app, Visit the Robo Guardians section and choose Self Custody.

Currently, AWS Cloud Hosting and Nitro Enclaves are available.

  3. In the Salt app, click on the Follow AWS cloudformation quick setup link. You will be taken to the setup process on AWS. This will open in a new tab.

  4. In AWS, create a name for your stack, or use the pre-filled name based on your Organisation name. If there’s a space in the name, delete or replace it.

  5. Select the box to acknowledge that AWS CloudFormation may create IAM resources.

  6. Click Create Stack.

The robo guardians may need a few minutes to be created.

  7. Navigate back to the Salt app and click Next.

  8. Once your Robo Guardians are set up, you’ll need to send them some assets to pay for gas.
